Tikbalang is a creature of Philippine folklore said to lurk in the mountains and forests of the Philippines. It is generally described as a tall, bony humanoid creature with disproportionately long limbs, to the point that its knees reach above its head when it squats down. It has the head and feet of an animal, most commonly a horse. It is sometimes believed to be a transformation of an aborted fetus which has been sent to earth from limbo.

Taming a tikbalang[edit]

By one account, a tikbalang has a mane of sharp spines, with the three thickest of these being of particular importance. A person who obtains one of these spines can use them as an anting-anting (talisman) in order to keep the tikbalang as his servant. The tikbalang must first be subdued, however, by leaping onto it and tying it with a specially-prepared cord. The would-be-tamer must then hang on while the creature flies through the air, fighting madly to dislodge its unwelcome rider, until it is exhausted and acknowledges its defeat.

If you took an art class, you probably know that they exaggerate the length of the limbs because (men?) find extra long legs sexy. And you have to lengthen the arms too, to keep her looking balanced.

Loomis Says you draw the sexy woman's limbs as if she was 9 heads high instead of 8

So the fact that they mentioned the Tikbalang has disproportionally long legs. Sounds like Tikbalang is female to me.

and then to get a Tikbalang under your control you need to

  1. subdue her then
  2. get on her, then
  3. let her take you on a trip through the sky while your bodies slam against each other other. then
  4. keep from being dislodged from her until she is exhausted and acknowledges her defeat.

What does that sound like to you? If you replace step 4 with, "time how long it takes for her to successfully dislodges you (then to flee for your life)" it's sounds like a rodeo...

/Booty and The Beast/
a poem by Tamer Cody Latshaw

I can't help now but wonder what your brown eyes are concealing. They just show me the reflections of all that I am feeling. I press our bodies together like I place my hand in a glove...

Hearts pounding with excitement, and dare I say it. love.... I know I may never own you, it's in your nature to run free. I will pray to lord above, that one day you'll come with me.

Then we'll ride off in amour, until our time is done. And I will be your Tamer, your cowboy in the sun.
