Other races consider humans to be corrupt, greedy, and power-hungry. As a rave, humans are more insecure, but also more adaptable than other races. Many humans consider the human race to be superior to all others, and most human cultures seek to expand. Humans have the most diverse diet. Humans from southern climates have more diverse diets than those from the north.

Barbarian Characters[edit]

Barbarian tribes roam the wide plains and live deep in the forests. Many tribes are territorial and closed to outsiders, like the feared Zenda warriors that almost live on their horses while traveling the great plains. The barbarian tribes are ruled by tribal chiefs and shamans, their priests and spellcasters.

Barbarian tribes often have strong preferences in the types of weapon and armor used and are well-versed in surviving in the terrain that they live in. It is rare that barbarian receive any training in the magic arts, but can learn Shamanistic magic.

Civilized Humans[edit]

Humans are the most numerous of the races inhabiting the Perilous Lands. The inhabitants of the different corners of the world have different customs and physique, from the tall red-headed Djanes in the north to the stocky Choshai in the east. The city dwellers are the most versatile human characters possible in play.

Civilized humans have a wide selection of skills and professions that the character can choose from. They can start the game trained as simple laborers or as a magician’s apprentice and have all the appropriate knowledge.

Humans roll 2d10 plus a modifier for most Characteristics except for Dive Maneuverability, and Dive Power which have a Native Ability of 1; and Flight Maneuverability, and Flight Power which have a Native Ability of 0.
