The Food that a Character requires each day is based on his weight. The requirements, in Food Points (a standard of nutritional value) for Humans is:

(kg×0.044)^0.75

The food requirement listed is a minimum number of Food Points required to maintain the character. Less and he begins to starve. He could consume up to three times the amount needed if he chose to do so for some reason. The standard mass of a Food Point is 937.5 grams. The minimum mass of 1 Food Point is 111.111 grams.

As a base, per day the character requires:

Per hour at hot temperatures at low activity the character requires an additional:
