Card Magic talismans are made by Card Masters and used by Card Mages and Card Duelists. Stone tablets were once the most popular form for talismans. Now lacquered parchment or thin plastic cards are more dominant, which is why it is known as Card Magic. Here on out, talismans will be called 'Cards' as in the vernacular.

There are 2 types of Cards: Interrupt Cards and Sorceries Cards.

An Interrupt Card can be activated at any time without and negative effects.

Soreceries Cards are activated in Castings of one or more cards. After a Casting there is a refractory period of about one minute where another casting will cause injury to the user.

Monster Cards contain a spirit that is given an Ectoplasmic body when activated, a process called Summoning.

A card setup to activate when the user receives damage is known as a Shield Card.
