An unmodified roll of 5 or lower Roll the same {{l|YiffieMon|Skill Check}} again to {{l|YiffieMon|Confirm The Crit}}; if the Confirm is a Failure the Original {{l|YiffieMon|Skill Check}} is a {{l|YiffieMon|Normal Success}}; if the Confirm is a {{l|YiffieMon|But Success}} the Original {{l|YiffieMon|Skill Check}} is a {{l|YiffieMon|Severe Success}}; if the Confirm is a {{l|YiffieMon|Normal Success|Normal}}, {{l|YiffieMon|Severe Success|Severe}} or {{l|YiffieMon|Critical Success}} the Original {{l|YiffieMon|Skill Check}} is a {{l|YiffieMon|Critical Success}}.

== Combat Base Line ==
To determine the line that you will roll when you attack another person or creature, subtract the defender’s {{l|YiffieMon|Defensive Combat Value|DCV}} from your {{l|YiffieMon|Offensive Combat Value|OCV}}. A creature must either add his (Weapon Skill)/10, round down if the creature is untrained in the weapon he is using its -1, to his Base Line or subtract it from his attackers' Base Line. The result is the line on the Skills and Combat Base Line Table that you will roll on.

EXAMPLE — If a Character with an OCV of 7 and a Weapon Skill of 23 attacks a creature with a DCV of 9, he rolls on the 0 line.
