When he realized that he has never going to meet some that wasn't either a Narcissist or one of the yes-men that kowtows down to them, to avoid incurring the wrath that narcissists reserve for those that dare make the narcissist follow the rules, that it was a hopeless situation to even try to search for some that he can have an honest relationship like I did. He didn't sink into 25 years of complete debilitating depression and saw levels of misanthropy as I did. He when "If I can't make real friends, I'll just have to make real friends instead!" and created his Harem to turn his life into an RL Tenchi Muyo.

And like Benjamin Franklin, who when, the deputy governor of Pennsylvania, George Thomas, made an offer to Franklin to a patent his design, said “that as we enjoy great advantages from the inventions of others, we should be glad of an opportunity to serve others by any invention of ours, and this we should do freely and generously”, Franklin never patented any of his designs or inventions.

Even when some else got a patent on his stove, his reply was, "I'm just glad someone was are to mass-produce them at an affordable price."

All Sukebei wanted as payment was to be left along in his private Tench Muyo world and when they treated him like he was Bin Laden for that, he commitment to make any sacrifice needed to help mankind to the best of his ability even when he realized it would take implementing The Aequilibrium Evertendi to have any chance of making real change to society ills.

Like Captain Kirk when faced with impossible to win situation he only reposes is, "I don't believe in no win situations"
