Archon, the Molten Aequis (Infernal)

Regal and manipulative, yet holding a high work ethic, Archons are rare Aequis found only within the deepest, most removed portions of mines. By heating up the metal they consume and firing it forth, they can create a wide variety of sturdy structures and weapons, leading to them being highly sought out. Typically, they prefer to manipulate others into preferring deeds for them, rather than directly following orders from others. However, should they come to respect someone fully, then they can easily relinquish their control.

Description

• Humanoid face lacking a noticeable mouth (certain actions will cause a gaping, toothy maw to open)

• Has a crown resembling a flickering flame
• Eyes have liquid black sclera with red-yellow iris
• Most of the skin is red-yellow, like molten steel, save the hands (up to the elbow) and the legs (up to the thigh), which are black
• Typically wears revealing dresses (most notably a cross top) with metallic jewelry.
• Fairly large breasts, like many, with blackened nipples
• Lacks shoes, and instead has clawed toes (and hands). However, they lack nails, and instead, the fingers are simply lengthened.

Position and Overview

Utilizing molten metals and high AOE, the Archon exells in the backrank, although they’re more than capable of dealing high damage up close too. However, they lack much in the way of defense, and their attacks are more suited for AOE, so it's slightly harder to pin down a single target.

Moves

Molten Spear: Rank 1-4

A deadly spear made of molten metal is launched at the opponent. Deals -25% of AR, and has a 33% chance to pin the opponent, preventing them from moving.

Liquid Deluge: Rank 3-4

Fires off a stream of molten metal from above, dealing -65% of AR. Each enemy has a 50% chance of having their speed lowered by 10%.

Sear

Targets two enemies and scalds them with a glob of molten metal. Deals -35% AR, and has a 33% chance of inflicting burn, which damages over time.

Seething Expulsion

Forms bubbling magma under a random number of enemies, which deals -90% AR for two turns. After the two turns, it explodes, dealing -35% AR damage.

Broil

Heats up their inner core, raising their AR by 15% and causing all their abilities to have a 15% to burn targets hit.

Manacle

Sends out a burning manacle that latches onto an enemy, dealing 80% damage, pinning their position, and lowering their speed by 15%.

Reforge

Summons liquid metal to reforge damaged portions of their body, healing themselves for 3-4 health. Also has a 33% to remove debuffs.

Linked Items

Most of the Archon’s items are based around her increasing the damage of her AOE attacks, as well as the severity of her debuffs. A few are more based towards accuracy, however.

Welded Chain Lock

Beautifully crafted chain lock, welded together by extreme heats. Increase damage resistance by 10%, and increases chance of pin by 10%, but decreases damage by 10%.

Molten Speartip

A melted piece of ornate metal, once belonging to a spear. Increases damage by 15%, but decreases accuracy by 5% and pin chance by 5%.

Metal Orb

Intricate orb made of steel. Causes all attacks to have a 10% chance to pin enemies, at the cost of -2 speed.

Gold-Crafted Wings

A pair of wings, forged from solid gold. Increases speed by 2, and dodge chance by 5%, but lowers defense by 10%.

Personality and Taste

Archons are famed for their extremely hard work and talent with forging, causing them to be among the most popular of Aequis seeked out by Tamers. However, one should be careful: Despite this respectable work ethic, they tend to be highly domineering and slightly egotistical, oftentimes looking down at other ideas that are not their own. Luckily, they are not irrational, and when proven wrong, will quickly accept their failings and move on.
