A day is a unit of time that varies between magic systems. it could be.
- Any 24 hour period.
- Sun rise to sun rise.
- sun set to sun set.
- Sun rise to sun set and sun set to sun rise.
- midnight to midnight.
Note: if it depends on the relative position of the sun then you need to be on a planet for a new day to begin.
