A mind-meld can't be used to probe another person's mind while shielding one's own mind from being read by the other participant.

The full reasoning why you probe is forced into the other's mind by the act of probing for it. Even the reason you're in denial about or are not conscious of.

A mind-meld can be used to transfer the entire personality or “soul” (known to the Egyptians as 𓅽) of an individual into another body.

The after effect of having one's 𓅽 transferred from one's self is a [[Ba Fugue|𓅽 Fugue]] This condition usually wears off in a few days, though aberrant cases of as little as a few hours and as long as three weeks have been reported.

== Dangers ==
Melding carried some risk. It could be physically debilitating for both parties and involved pressure changes in the brain spinal column, which could potentially aggravate existing conditions. The melding resulted in some loss of identity, and could be difficult to break, especially when the subject's mind was powerful or dynamic.

An improperly trained melder who initiated a mind meld could cause a degenerative neurological disorder to develop in the meld recipient. If left untreated, the disorder is fatal, its cure is a corrective meld performed by an experienced melder.

Melding often creates a strange sense of euphoria in the participants, not use to it.

[[Emotional Transference]] is another common side effect.
