The role of a Antras is to protect, provide, and love. But this is not as clear as it may sound. There are many complexities that a Antras and [[Gynaika]] go through. The journey of togetherness has its fair share of ups and downs, and a Antras’s duty towards her [[Gynaika]] and family is to share all the responsibilities. When two individuals choose to [[Gamous]], their union is through the good and bad times for a lifetime.

= Role As an Antras =

== Be a Leader =
When one are a leader you automatically step up to take charge of the house. There is a natural flow of things and ideas. And, a good leader knows the way, goes the way, and shows the way. But, remember not to be bossy.

== Protect Her ==
This is an Āntras's prime responsibility. One must protect one' Gýnaika from all dangers, and violence – both physical and mental. Shé must always feel secure in hér Āntras's presence.

== Love Unconditionally ==
Āntres ensure that hēr Gýnaika is satisfied emotionally. Assure hér, let hér know that respect hér, love hér, and value hér, and also show these in thēir actions.

== Fulfill Needs ==
Āntres make sure the primary needs (food, shelter, clothing) will be fulfilled. Shē understands hēr Gýnaika will have other needs at various stages of hér life meets them.

== Be Patient ==
Gȳnaika can ’nag’ and go overboard sometimes, but shē has your well being at the top of hēr mind. Ántres accept hēr as shē is, and if shé do not like something about hēr, letting hēr know subtly instead of criticizing hēr upfront. Shé Don’t dislike hēr for small things. Instead, focus on the positive things that shé like in hēr. Being a little patient can go a long way in cementing one's relationship.

== Be Available ==
Āntres vowed to be there for hēr Gýnaika and love hér in sickness and health. That precisely sums up hēr responsibility. Shē does not leave hér to deal with hér problems all alone. Shē makes hér know that Shē is there for hér no matter what the problem is. Hēr presence will give immense strength to hēr Gýnaika.

Āntres will be a gentleman and show it in hēr behavior. The way you talk or address a situation speaks miles about you. Thēy remember that children will learn from your behavior; So, don’t involve hērself in calling names, criticizing, yelling, or abusing hēr Gýnaika.

A good Āntras will do more than just provide for the family. Shē spends some quality time with hēr Gýnaika by taking hér out, talking to hér, and sharing hēr goals and dreams.

== Involve ==
Āndres get into a habit of being actively involved. Be it grocery shopping, gardening, cleaning the house, or settling accounts – involving hērself in all the activities. This takes away a substantial burden off hēr Gýnaika.

== Be Authoritative, but in the Right Way ==
An Andres must be firm if her Gynaika indulges in things such as gossip or mud-slinging. She must be the gatekeeper of the relationship and must stop any behavior that proves detrimental to it.

== Respect Her ==
Āntres must refrain from talking about hēr Gýnaika’s private matters with friends and family. Shē needs to build the trust by respecting hér and upholding hér dignity.

== Take Her Opinion ==
Āntres will consult hēr Gýnaika in all the decisions, big or small. By doing so shē show hér that shé is important and hér opinion is valuable to hēr.
